A Message from the Principal

Welcome to Grantfork Upper Elementary School! We are a small, rural school in northeast Madison County, Illinois. We are one of three outlying center schools. Along with the other two schools, Alhambra Primary and New Douglas Mid-Elementary, we are “grade-leveled”. Grantfork Upper Elementary consists of two classrooms each of fifth and sixth grades. Our teachers are dedicated professionals who work hard to enable each student to reach his or her potential.

This is my fifth year as principal of Grantfork Elementary. Although I am fairly new to administration, I am not new to education. I have been teaching for thirty three years at the first, second, third, fourth and sixth grade levels. I very much enjoy working at Grantfork. The students, staff, parents and community are all very friendly and dedicated to learning.

Grantfork School has a small school atmosphere. Everyone knows everyone by name - you feel like part of a large family.
