Highland, Illinois
Hello
and welcome to our website. Highland Primary is an elementary
school (Pre-K-2) in the Highland Public School District #5.
It is made up of students ranging in age from three to eight years
old. We have Pre-K, Early Childhood, Kindergarten,
First Grade, and Second
Grade Classes in our building. Our school
population is 610. Highland is located thirty miles east of St.
Louis, Missouri.
Our school offers some great programs that help our students develop
to their fullest potential. Some of these programs are:
Reading Recovery, Guided Reading, Reading Club, Banana
Splits, PeaceBuilders
and many more.
We are part of a bigger unit district - Highland Community
Schools #5. Highland Community Schools is made up of seven
buildings. The Primary, Elementary,
Middle School, High School, New Douglas Elementary, Grantfork
Elementary
and Alhambra Elementary. Our district population is about
3000. We have had many exciting things happening within
our district. Our high school and middle school are
totally remodeled.
