Ten (10) Honors Classes offered: English I, II, III, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, World History.

Twelve (12) Dual Credit Courses are offered through Southwestern Illinois College: Advanced Spanish III, Advanced Spanish IV, Ag Business Mgt, Construction I/II, Construction III/IV, Greenhouse Mgt, Introduction to Marketing, Jobs For Illinois Graduates (JILG), Medical Occupations, Public Speaking, Welding I, Welding II.

An average of 55% of our students attend a 4 year institution after graduation. Another 27% attend a 2 year institution and 8% go on to a vocational/trade school.

AP Courses, Honors English III, Honors Pre Calculus, and Honors Physics have weighted grades.

Highland High School’s grade point average (GPA) is based on a 5.0 scale. The values for letter grades in non-weighted courses are: A=5.0; B=4.0; C=3.0; D=2.0; and F=1.0. The values for weighted grades are: A=6.0; B=5.0; C=4.0; D’s and lower are the same as non-weighted grades.
