SALARY SCHEDULE ADVANCEMENT - COLLEGE COURSEWORK

Teachers shall be given educational credit on the salary schedule upon completion of coursework that has been pre-approved by the superintendent. This course work is not required to be part of an accredited masters or doctorate program. Teachers can use this credit for horizontal movement at any point on the salary schedule, as long as the course work demonstrates a clear benefit to the school district, such as, but not limited to: professional development, acquiring an endorsement, curriculum development or program development. (Effective for course work taken on or after 9/12/2017 - approval form is available on the district website.)

Schedule advancement will be implemented at the start of the first and second semesters. Payment of said entitlement will be withheld until transcript or official certification is presented to the Superintendent's office. In order to receive credit for work completed prior to first semester, a transcript, request for salary increment credit form, official certificate, or grade card must be received in the Main Office no later than the 10th of August. In order to receive credit for work completed prior to the second semester, a transcript, request for salary increment credit form, official certificate or grad card must be received in the Main Office no later than the 10th of January. Salary increases will be for the full year if submitted for first semester and for one-half the year if submitted for second semester.

Pre-approval for Masters and Graduate courses - to use for pre-approval of all courses/graduate programs taken after September 1, 2017 that will be submitted for salary advancement when completed.

Salary Increment Credit Form - to use for advancement on the salary schedule after the class is completed and official transcript will not reach the district office by the August 10 or January 10 deadlines.
