Hi All!
School Pictures for Grantfork Elementary and Alhambra Primary will be taken THIS WEEK: July 22 (Wednesday) and July 23 (Thursday) from 3:00 pm- 7:00 pm at Highland High School. If you cannot make those dates, a retake day will be done while school is in session. More details on that date later.

Wednesday, May 20th:
***Grantfork Awards Ceremony: 2:00 p.m.
-Parents are welcome to attend.
-Report cards and school supplies will be sent home Wednesday.
-Parents may sign students out after the awards ceremony.
-Signing out after awards will not count against attendance.

Thursday, May 21:
**School will still be in session.
**AM latchkey services at Alhambra as usual
**NO PM LATCHKEY or Daycare services
***If you are planning on keeping your child out of school that day or picking up early, please let the office know as soon as possible so we can excuse the absence.
Field Day will take place with a modified schedule:
8:45–9:00 a.m. — Parent sign-in
9:00–9:25 a.m. — End of Year Video
9:25–10:30 a.m. — Field Day games
10:30 a.m. — Parents may sign students out
Remaining students will have recess and/or a movie
11:45 a.m. — Official end of school
**Busing will proceed as planned. However, depending on times of the funeral procession, arrival times could be delayed.

Highland High School Seniors that attended Grantfork Elementary visited us today on their final day of school! Congratulation Class of 2026! We are proud of you!

As we celebrate Staff and Teacher Appreciation Week, we are so very grateful for all of our Highland CUSD No. 5 employees. Our team is committed to making our organization the best it can be for students, staff, and the community. It's tough work, but essential for the future. Thank you for your passion, energy, and dedication to our schools and all that you do each day. You make a difference. If you see one of our staff this week, be sure to say hello, send them a kind email, or share a smile and say thank you. They deserve it and appreciate the support in a day and age when working in a school takes heart and soul.

Due to the rain, we will cancel the field trip to Carlyle Lake today.
Students will still need to bring their lunches.
The teachers have fun Earth Day activities planned for here at school.

Please share with any 4th and 5th grade boys interested in basketball. Deadline to receive a shirt is March 16th. You can send the registration form and money to Grantfork Elementary School office.
