After beating Decatur MacArthur and suffering a tough loss to Effingham this morning, the Lady Bulldogs go on to beat Olney and then knock off top seeded Carbondale. They will play for the Championship coming up soon!🏐🏐🏐🏐

The Highland Bulldogs defeated the Jerseyville Panthers 54-12 tonight. They head to Troy next week to take on Triad at 7pm.



September is Pediatric Cancer awareness month. Tonight Leaps of Love joined us to continue to bring awareness to this awful disease. We were honored to recognize student, Paul Lyons and coach, Austin Welz, both pediatric cancer survivors! 💛💛💛

Boys golf finished 5 of 17 in the O’Fallon Tournament. In the best 4 front and best 4 back format we shot a team score 336. Dominick Emig 73, Bryce Knackstedt 81, Easton Belford 98, Braden Schrof 91, Logan Oestringer 95, and Tanner Gilliam 92.

Students in Mrs. Kimmle’s Honors Geometry course practice using postulates and diagrams in class today. This helps with proofs and theorems as students learn to deal with mathematical systems.

Lady Bulldog Volleyball had another impressive conference win over Triad tonight winning 25-16 and 25-20. JV also picked up the victory.
Varsity moves to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Next up - the Charleston Tourney on Saturday

Students Mrs. Raymond’s Industrial Ed I class participate in an electricity lab dealing with receptacle connections and splices. They are learning to make “hooks” that they will eventually connect to a switch as they learn to wire properly. This is the trades in action.

Students in Mr. Durbin’s Intro to Engineering PLTW class work on box plots, data analysis, and measurement. Yesterday they built machines, such as catapults, to launch objects and today they are filtering and sorting the data.




Senior students in Mr. Makarewicz’s ENGLISH IV course complete a Rhetorical Analysis writing activity on the text Hole in My Life by Jack Gantos. Students select a rhetorical device from the story and write about how it makes the reader feel and engage with the text.



Your Highland Bulldogs defeated Mater Dei 2-1 tonight. They are back in action tomorrow as they head to Mascoutah to take on the Indians starting at 4:15pm.
