Our very own retired math teacher from May 2023, Mr. Max Uhls, has fulfilled his dream of writing and publishing his first novel, Time and Time Again, A Swade Hammond Novel. Fans of time travel and coming-of-age stories will be captivated by this thrilling tale.
Additionally, we’re proud to celebrate juniors Maddie Molitor and Layna Powers, who contributed their creativity and Photoshop skills to the book’s design. Highland had 14 entries into the SIUE regional art exhibit. Myla Wheat with Divine Feminine, Sophia Frey with Lunar Moon, and Aislyn Welsh with Divine Intervention and Head of a Peasant Woman. Sophia won The Art Education award, and Aislyn won 3rd for Head of a Peasant Women.
