Morning Announcements March 27

To the students of Highland High School, your teachers, staff, and administrators are missing you. So we wanted to put together a video to say hi and, hopefully, to make you smile. We hope to see you soon, and in the mean time, “keep your head up!” #BulldogPride ❤️🐾

Per ISBE:
“We know that the free SAT provided by the state is the only opportunity many students get to take a college entrance exam. ISBE is working with the College Board on developing options to allow current 11th grade students to take the SAT in the fall. We hope to have more information on these options by the end of April.”

Thanks to our amazing faculty and staff for their continued efforts to support HHS students and families. You can reach out to us-faculty, staff, or administration-if you need help or assistance.

Thankful Thursday❤️. We’ve had a lot of time already to reflect. It can be easy to start to feel negative during times like these, but it’s SO important to stay positive and look for things that help us keep the faith. What’s something (or someone) that you’re extra thankful for right now? Tag us on Instagram or send to bulldogshoutout@highlandcusd5.org so we can post for you. We can’t wait to see you all spread the love today 🥰 #HHSVirtualSpiritWeek2020 #BulldogsGiveThanks

Ceramics and Art II students were in the middle of learning about sculpture. Mrs. Wander receives TP tubes all the time so she had plenty to give each student as a project while school was closed. They are turning out super cool.

“What’s Distracting You?” Wednesday.... what’s keeping you occupied? What book(s) have you read? What show have you been binge watching? What projects, puzzles, crafts, etc have you done? 📖🎮🖥🎨🧩🎸 Take a picture and let us see what’s been helping to keep you distracted during the mandated closure. A group of families put a box together and placed it at Highland Primary. This box is full of non perishable food. There is everything from Mac and cheese, apple sauce, granola bars, tuna, etc. When you pick up your meals Wednesday from 8am-10am, please take what you need!

St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Cardinals, Starlight Dance, and Alphas Boxing are just a little bit of what we’re missing. What else are you missing? Throw your jersey or team shirt on and send your picture in! #HHSVirtualSpiritWeek2020 #HighlansBulldogs618 🏒⚾️🩰🥊

The construction is moving quickly! New lights over the main floor, no walls...WOW! What a difference a week makes.
