English II students in Mrs. Huson’s class analyze and discuss elements of the novel, The Things They Carried, by Tim O’Brien, based on experiences of the 23rd Infantry during the Vietnam War. Some excellent conversations took place that engaged students at a high level.

Come for chili and stay for basketball! The band parents association is hosting a chili dinner on January 14 as boys basketball team hosts Edwardsville. Dinner is $6 per person and game tickets are $4 (adults) or $2 (students). Join us for a night of food, music, and basketball!

The Highland Lady Bulldogs defeated Vincennes Alices 55-49 in the Breese Central Shootout. Bella LaPorta was the Highland player of the game as she set a new shootout record for points scored, 23. Well done ladies!
