Dear HHS Families,
Greetings from Highland High School. Today, the Highland Police Department, along with officers from neighboring communities, brought several K-9 dogs to HHS for a drug search that included classrooms, hallways, lockers, and parking lots. Thanks to parents, local law enforcement, students, and staff for working together to maintain a safe environment for our school and community.

Students in Mrs. Martz’s English class reading and watching The Call of the Wild by Jack London. A big theme students noted was that “loss of imagination in Alaska can be deadly.” Students also did a Close Read and answered questions about the text.
