Representatives from SWIC talking with Seniors in COOP class about career opportunities in technical areas as they prepare for life after high school.

Dear HHS Families,
Greetings from Highland High School. Today, the Highland Police Department, along with officers from neighboring communities, brought several K-9 dogs to HHS for a drug search that included classrooms, hallways, lockers, and parking lots. Thanks to parents, local law enforcement, students, and staff for working together to maintain a safe environment for our school and community.
Educationally Yours,
Dr. Chris Becker
HHS Principal

Students in Mrs. Martz’s English class reading and watching The Call of the Wild by Jack London. A big theme students noted was that “loss of imagination in Alaska can be deadly.” Students also did a Close Read and answered questions about the text.

Seniors in Mrs. Case’s English IV class view the movie Hotel Rwanda and learn about the horrible genocide that occurred in 1994. It is our hope that students learn about history to prevent tragedies like this from ever happening again.

April events and FTT Calendar! A reminder the PSAT/SAT Test is April 9 for grades 9, 10, and 11. Seniors have a College/Career Day.
