Each Friday, we celebrate students who go above and beyond in showing their PRIDE. These are the students we recognized on Friday, October 10th. Congratulations to this week’s Top Dog Award winners! Keep up the great work HMS!
The HMS cross country teams had an outstanding day at the IESA Class 3A Sectional Meet in Robinson. Retta Frey is the Sectional Champion with a time of 12:39.80 and Paige Korte ran a 13:11.80 to finish in 6th place. Easton Koeneman ran a 11:30.30 to place 6th place while Alex Reckmann ran a 11:37.80 to finish in 10th place for the boys. The HMS boys team finishes in 2nd place while the girls team finishes in third place. Both teams qualify for state next weekend in Normal. Way to go!
Good luck to the HMS cross country teams as they compete in the IESA Sectional Meet with a chance to advance to the State Finals. The meet is in Robinson at Nuttall Middle School. Go Dawgs!

The Lady Bulldogs basketball teams get a couple conference wins today at Granite City. The 7th grade won 19-2 and the 8th grade won 19-14. Way to go!

We had a great day at our pep rally for first quarter today. Our students showed up with their best school spirit dressed in their class colors. We recognized our fall activities and had some fun playing games in order to celebrate a great first quarter. Congratulations to 6B, 7R, and 8R for winning the spirit trophies today!
