From the Band Parents President:
Well, Mother Nature has done it to us again…
Tonight’s Highland Band Parents Association meeting is going to have to be cancelled. Due to the fact that we have another meeting scheduled for March 17, we will put off 8th grade night until then! I will post more info as the date gets closer.
Stay safe everyone!
The volleyball game scheduled for today is cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date. Enjoy the day and stay safe!
Highland CUSD No. 5 Parents and Staff, Highland CUSD No. 5 will not be in session tomorrow, Thursday, February 24 due to potential sleet and freezing rain tomorrow morning. The timing of this precipitation requires a decision to be made on the forecast either tonight or early morning. Either way, a decision has to be made on the forecast. To give families and staff the maximum time to plan, I always prefer to make decisions the night before. I fully expect to be back in session on Friday. Enjoy your 5th emergency day, we have one more if needed:)

Coach Weder and Assistant Odle reported for duty tonight as interim coaches. Don’t worry, it’s only for today 😁 It’s safe to say that Coach Weder had a great time being back in that position. Thanks for having us ladies! Let’s squash Triad tomorrow!!

Looking for weekend plans? Bring your family to see Matilda Jr. at HMS this weekend.

Congratulations to Lilah McCall, Callie Wolfe, Eloise Esmon, Joshua Knobloch, and Elena Batek who are winners of the Madison County Young Authors contest. Great job!
