Mrs. Courtney Taylor, 6 Black Social Studies, has been teaching for 9 years. She enjoys watching Moana with her little one in her spare time. Her favorite go too treats are ski and sour patch straws. One thing you may not know about Mrs. Taylor is that she has been to over eight countries, and when she travels she brings back a tiny figurine and hides it in her classroom. When asked what she likes best about teaching she said, “Being a nerd, and turning my students into nerds with me, especially Egyptian nerds! :) I love watching them get sucked into the vortex of a topic or technology; I love seeing them so enthralled that the world seems to stop around them”. Thanks for all that you do to inspire a love of social studies, Mrs. Taylor.

Mrs. Stacy Levin has been supporting students here at HMS for 2 years now. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching her kids play baseball/softball. Some of her favorite foods include chocolate, nuts, and popcorn. One thing you may not know about Mrs. Levin is that she is a skilled baker on the side! Her favorite thing about teaching is making a difference in each of the kids lives that she works with. Thanks for always caring about kids, Mrs. Levin.

Mrs. Kateri Odle, HMS Administrative Assistant, has been with HMS for 6 years now. In her spare time she enjoys baking, hanging out with friends either poolside or fireside depending on the season, and traveling. Mrs. Odle’s favorite food is Mexican, but Italian is a close 2nd. One thing unique about Mrs. Odle is that she only has 10 more states to visit, and then she will have visited all 50 states of the USA. When asked why she loves HMS, she said, “I truly love this building and all the students and staff in it! The kids at HMS are at such a fun age. They are enjoying some freedoms of being big kids now, but are still willing to learn and engage and question how the world works.” Thanks Kateri for all that you do to support everyone at HMS!

Mrs. Krista Ginestra, 8 Black Science, is new to HMS this year, but has been teaching for 16 years. She enjoys camping, reading, spending time with her family, and getting outdoors whenever possible. Here favorite sweet treats are Peanut M&Ms! One thing you may not know about Mrs. Ginestra is that she tried out for the circus while in college. When asked what her favorite thing is about teaching she said, “I love watching students have the AHA moments! Teaching is my passion.” Thanks Mrs. Ginestra for all that you do to inspire students.

Things are heating up in Mrs. Schmitz's 8th Grade Science Lab!
