Monday will be a normal attendance day at HMS. Students should bring books and materials as normal. (Some teams may have already indicated some items are not needed for Monday)
Students should take home all materials at the end of the day Monday that are needed to be engaged during the closure. Teachers will review with students at school on Monday expectations for academic engagement. Students do not need band instruments and will not have band sectionals tomorrow.

Below is the district’s schedule through March 30:
Monday, March 16 Student Attendance Day (normal schedule)
Tuesday, March 17 Teachers & Paras Report (TI Schedule to prep for student engagement days)

Due to the impending school closure, the high school and middle school parking lots will be barricaded per the direction of the Highland Police Department and Highland CUSD 5. Staring Monday, March 16th at 4:00 PM both parking lots will be closed for the duration of the school closure. All district facilities will be closed as well.


HMS Parents and Staff,
All after school activities for HMS are cancelled starting tonight Friday, March 13, 2020 until March 31, 2020. This includes all athletics, clubs, intramurals, lessons, or any other group or organization using school facilities.

Dear HMS Families,
We are going to cancel our HMS Trivia Night for tonight Friday, March 13, 2020, in light of the recent meeting recommendations by state officials. It is more important at this time to protect the health of all members of our community. We hope to reschedule before the end of the school year, but we will have to wait and see how things progress to be sure. We will refund any money that has already been paid to attend. The Silent Auction items and basket items will be held until we can reschedule when we feel it is safe to hold this event. All tables will be held until we determine a future date for the event. Please contact the office if you would like a refund or you may wait until we reschedule.
