
Info for the Alton Girls Basketball Tournament


The 8th grade Lady Bulldogs basketball team opened up the Alton Tournament against East St. Louis Lincoln and came away with a big 47-18 win behind 15 points from Carley Lindsey, 13 points from Emmy Dickey and 10 from Hayley Cooper. The ladies move into the semi-finals of tournament tomorrow and play at 2pm. Go Dawgs!

The 7th grade Lady Bulldogs basketball team won a nail-biter against Bethalto in the opening game of the Alton Tournament 16-14. Grace Blake led the way with 9 points. The ladies move to the semi-finals tomorrow at 1pm. Go Dawgs!

Good luck to our cross country runners. They are headed to the IESA State meet tomorrow!


Today, we recognized several students who were nominated by their teachers for showing their PRIDE over the past couple of weeks. Whether it’s consistently participating in class, lending a helping hand to classmates, or spreading kindness, these students exemplify the spirit of HMS! Keep up the fantastic work, everyone!



Congratulations to Hayley Cooper, Carley and Chloe Lindsey for being nominated to play in the All State Classic Girls Basketball game in December @Lincoln Jr. High in Lincoln, Illinois. Way to go ladies!

The 8th grade Lady Bulldogs win an exciting game 26-25 behind 24 points from Chloe Lindsey and 2 points from Alex Korte raising their record to 8-1 on the season and 6-1 in conference play. Way to go ladies!

The 7th grade Lady Bulldogs get a 18-12 win over the Braves from Mascoutah in a MEAC conference contest today. The ladies were led by Keegan Schaible with 6 points. The ladies move to 7-2 on the season and 6-1 in conference play. Way to go!

10 Winning students on 8Red enjoyed lunch from McDonalds today! Keep earning those tickets. Next quarter winners get Subway.
