HMS' Hawaiian Dance The HMS Student Council would like to announce their upcoming Hawaiian Dance!! The Hawaiian Dance is in the HMS gymnasium on Friday, May 3rd from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., with doors opening at 5:45 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 29th through Thursday, May 2nd, during lunch hours. Tickets cost $5.00 before the event if paid during lunch hours. Please have your ticket the night of the dance for quicker entrance, but we will also have a record of who has paid in case you misplace it. At the door, the cost is $7.00 with a canned food item or $8.00 without a canned food item. Attire for the evening can be anything from casual to dressy but must be school-appropriate. Also, costumes and large bags/backpacks are not allowed. Students will enjoy the music being played by DJ Silverbac, along with some refreshments . . . cookies and drinks. There will also be a very small concession stand available with drinks and candy, along with glow items for sale. We will have a photo booth available as well. Photos will be $1.00 per sheet or $5.00 for unlimited sheets. We are looking forward to a wonderful evening with the students of HMS. On the night of the dance, students may be dropped off by the HMS gym lobby any time between 5:45 - 6:30 p.m. The doors will close at 6:30 p.m. and there will be no admittance after this time. Students are not allowed to leave during the duration of the dance unless a parent/guardian has provided a written note to the office before the start of the dance. At the end of the evening, students will need to be picked up promptly at 8:00 p.m. by an adult and students are not allowed to walk to another location from the dance. If you have any questions, please contact Mecala Scholl at mscholl@highlandcusd5.org
