Due to the string of extremely cold days, Highland CUSD No. 5 will not be in session tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16, 2024. We do expect school to be in session the rest of the week. The IESA 7th grade Boys Basketball Regional came out today. Highland MS is the #1 seed! Go Dawgs!
The boys basketball teams traveled to Carlyle tonight for a non-conference match up and came away with two wins. The 7th grade won 46-26 while the 8th grade held on for a 55-46 win. Phoenix Parker sealed the win by making 5 of 6 free throws late. Way to go!

Today Team 8 Black's Character Strong lesson included setting attainable goals for the next month. Then, just like we want to launch our goals, we built and launched paper airplanes with the goals written on them. Kids picked up a different airplane and discussed a partner.
