NEXT YEAR’S 5TH GRADE BAND - This week 4th graders are meeting with our band directors and learning about all the instruments they can play in band at Highland Elementary.
Congratulations to Mrs. Kapp’s class! These students earned their way into the 100 Mile Club by walking 100 miles during the school year. Miss Hormann's class celebrated with them and have been cheering them on all year long! They made posters for them and walked a VICTORY mile together before enjoying cake and Bomb Pops!

Happy Principals' Day
Our 5th grade clarinets participated in a clinic with Caren Vititoe, a professional musician and educator from the St. Louis area.
A huge thank you to Daisy Troop 496 for choosing Highland Elementary to spend their cookie sales proceeds. They chose to donate a new AED and wall holder for our new cafeteria. We are so grateful!

Congratulations to third grader Jackson for being awarded a blue ribbon in the Picture the Music competition. This contest was sponsored by the Missouri Botanical Gardens and a celebration was held yesterday for the top 100. He was in the top 25 finalists out of over 13,000 participating students for his piece "Rhythm of the Soul".
Congratulations to the VFW's Illustrating America Poster Contest winners- James, Bailey and Lucas. They are pictured with VFW representative Nancy Rieke and principal, Mrs. Miscik.
