Congratulations to our fifth grade March VIPs!

Today, Mrs. Bartlett's and Mrs. Spies's classes had a Pi Day celebration! First, they learned about all of the parts of a circle. Next, they measured the circumference and diameter of all sizes of circles. Using these measurements, students were able to discover the number for Pi. They also read the book, Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi. As they enjoyed a slice of pie for dessert, they listened to a music video about their day.

Mr. Conway’s class created math problems for their classmates to solve. They are working on multiplying fractions greater than 1 by a whole number!
