Mr. Weber and junior US History students begin their unit on World War II. Students discuss, analyze, and review slides, terms, and key events during the time period.





Retired HHS Math Teacher, Mrs. Margie Duncan is helping out as a math sub today. It’s great to see her and we appreciate all the work of our substitute teachers who serve Highland CUSD 5 on a daily basis.




Congratulations to our varsity boys basketball team who defeated Civic Memoral tonight. The boys are back in action as they travel to Mascoutah on Monday.



Our fine arts students share their talents with us and enhance our athletic events! Thank you Madeline Crawford, Julia Graham, and Mysaiah Chambers for singing the National Anthem at our basketball games!




Our Lady Bulldog Basketball Team lost a tough one in Bethalto tonight. The girls are back in action on Monday as they take on Mascoutah at home.



Tonight our dancers had the opportunity to perform at our boys basketball game. Congratulations to our Sectional Champion HHS Dance Team. Best of luck at the IHSA Virtual State Championship this weekend!

HHS students and some staff were able to participate in the Blood Drive today to help save lives. We utilized mobile units outside and students wore masks and socially social distanced. Thanks to Mr. Vance for helping to organize and the staff from Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. It was a great way to give back to our community.

❏ School day begins at 7:40 am and dismisses at 12:35 pm (Red Day)
❏ Friday afternoon is a Teacher In-Service from 1:30 pm-3:00 pm.
❏ REMOTE LEARNERS have an asynchronous learning day from 1:30-2:35 pm and can work on their own to complete assignments as needed.

The Highland Boys Bowling Team placed 3rd in the Southern Illinois Shootout. They advance to next weeks final round. High game was shot by Talon Vrell with a 258. High four game series was shot by Logan Oestringer with a 846. Congratulations! ❤️🎳🖤
