
Lady Bulldog softball fell to Mulberry Grove 6-4 as Taylor Stone hit walk off 3-run homer to end it. Jordan Bircher doubled home a run in the 6th and a 4-3 lead, but the Bulldogs fell short late. Alex Schultz, Bailey Mettler, Lucy Becker, and Taylor Newingham each had two hits. The Bulldogs travel to Carlyle on Wednesday at 4:30 pm.

Highland Softball fell to Gillespie 8-4 on Thursday. Bailey Mettler led the way with two runs batted in. Alex Schultz, Kaitlyn Wilson, Abby Shultz, Lucy Becker, Jordan Bircher and Mettler each collected one hit for Highland. Hailey Ritz grabbed 2 hits and Becker and Ritz each had RBIs. Kaitlyn Wilson pitched and struck out 8. Highland is now 3-3 and heads to Mulberry Grove on Tuesday at 4:30

The HHS track meet and freshman baseball game have been postponed due to weather.


St. Anthony defeated Highland Softball 11-1 on Monday thanks in part an eight run fifth inning. Kaitlyn Wilson kept the dogs in the game, but eventually took the loss for Highland going four and two-thirds innings. Alex Schultz, Abby Schultz, and Wilson each collected one hit and Alex Schultz had the lone RBI for the Bulldogs. Highland is now 3-2 and plays at Mater Dei on Tuesday weather permitting.

HHS students took part in an adapted field day yesterday at Edwardsville High School. Students from Ms. Mantz's class had a great time participating in a variety of athletics, and they were accompanied by National Honor Society students.

A big win last night for the Lady Bulldogs Soccer team over Mount Vernon by a score of 7-2! Goals by Mady Roach (2), Peyton Beard (2), Payton Frey, Kirstyn Carver, & Maddie Molitor! Great work, ladies!

Lady Bulldog Varsity Softball defeated Granite City 9-5 on Thursday with Alex Schultz leading the way going 4 for 5 at plate. Taylor Newingham pitched well giving up four hits and five runs (zero earned) over four and two-thirds innings with 2 strikeouts. Highland tallied 13 hits with Abby Schultz grabbing 2 hits and 4 RBIs including a base clearing double in the 7th. Lucy Becker and Jordan Bircher each had 2 hits on the day. Kaitlyn Wilson earned the win in relief giving up one hit and no runs over two and one-third innings with 5 strikeouts. Highland moves to 3-1 and travels to Effingham St. Anthony on Monday.


Congrats to our HHS Students on successful Fish Tank Pitch Presentations. Jack Meyer won the competition with his business-Beyond the Diploma and Megan Helm came in third with her business- Skin Sensational.



HHS CEO students participated in Fish Tank Pitch Competition this morning. They each gave a 3 minutes presentation about their small business and then answered 2 minutes of questioning. They did a great job!
