It's time to pre-register for Kindergarten at Highland Community Schools!
If your child is turning 5 years old, on or before Sept 1, 2025, they are eligible for Kindergarten in the 25/26 school year.
Students who are Kindergarten eligible and are currently enrolled in PreK with HCUSD#5, please log into your Powerschool parent portal and fill out all forms tied to your students account to register online. https://ps.highlandcusd5.org/public/
For new students (who have never enrolled before) but are kindergarten eligible, please click on the link below to start the registration process.
Once your form is approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how to set up a Powerschool parent portal, and will be able to fill out all registration forms online.

IMSA Fusion students completed a STEM challenge today. They had to design and build a floating vessel that would hold the most weight. They were only allowed to use limited supplies, such as aluminum foil, plastic wrap, wooden craft sticks, paper, tape, and paper clips.









The 8th grade Lady Bulldogs win an exciting three set match with Hillsboro at home tonight 2-1! Great game by the ladies! Way to go!

The 7th grade Lady Bulldog volleyball team gets an exciting two set win over Hillsboro winning the second set in dramatic fashion 26-24 to secure the win. Way to go!

8th grade Algebra 1 students enjoyed a lesson in Factoring Trinomials today with guest teacher, Mr B. We are grateful for sharing his time and expertise!





The Bulldog bowling teams got a clean sweep of Alton today winning at four levels. Congratulations to Parker Dressler who bowled a 209. Way to go!

The bowling teams have a home match against Alton today at Hi Top at 3:45 pm. Go Dawgs!

Mrs. King-Stroff's class visited Rock-the-Spectrum on Friday. Our students had a blast!











On Friday, we recognized these students for going above and beyond to show their PRIDE. Keep up the great work!



The HMS bowling team did well at the Kegler Tournament this weekend with the Varsity girls finishing in the top 6 while the Varsity boys finished in the top 8. Way to go!
