Team 8 Black enjoyed a beautiful day in Springfield, IL visiting historic Lincoln sites. Students visited the Lincoln Museum, Lincoln's Home, the State Capitol, and Lincoln's Tomb.
Basketball tryout dates announced-All @HMS Gym Girls basketball tryouts will be held September 26, 27, and 29 from 5-7. Boys basketball tryouts will be held September 29 from 3-5 and September 30 from 5-7 for 7th graders only. Students on Team 8 Black had a chance to look at Rorschach Inkblot Tests today in LA classes to preview content for their next short story, Flowers for Algernon.

The baseball team will play an opponent TBA. They will play the Benton/DuQuoin winner on Saturday, October 1st at noon at the Centralia Rotary Park in the STATE Quarterfinals. The Benton/DuQuoin regional final is Friday, September 23rd at 4pm. Go Dawgs!
Team 8 Red science classes used their measuring skills today during a density cube lab to determine the contents of the cubes.
