With the shootout and tournament for our basketball teams-a message from hosts:
· First of all with Covid cases on the rise they will be enforcing all players, coaches and spectators to wear mask. This is to avoid having to limit the amount of spectators allowed in the gym. We know this is not ideal; however the health and safety of all is our top priority!
There is a limit on fans at the Collinsville tourney for the girls and with the boys St. Rose shootout there is no limit as of now!

Happy January birthday, Team 8 Red!🎈🎉😊

Good luck to the 8th Grade Lady Bulldogs at the Collinsville Tourney which starts tonight and runs through Saturday. Go Dogs!

Dear HMS Families
Good afternoon,
I hope 2022 is seeing you off to a good start. That being said, I wanted to take a minute to send out a quick e-mail prior to students returning to school Wednesday in regards to COVID and guidelines. Please note no changes have been made to the guidelines that we follow at this time.
As a reminder we follow the COVID-19 Interim Exclusion Guidance for Schools, per IDPH, which can be found at:
https://dph.illinois.gov/content/dam/soi/en/web/idph/covid19/guidance/school/School%20decision%20tree%20exclusion%20guidance%2009.28.21.pdf
We are to exclude students if ANY of the following symptoms are present: Fever (100.4°F or higher), new onset of moderate to severe headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of sense of taste or smell, fatigue from an unknown cause, muscle or body aches from an unknown cause.
*** Please note that this also applies for fully vaccinated individuals, they should follow the same guidelines if they are exhibiting symptoms***
The recommendation is for students with symptoms to do one of the following three options to return to school:
1. Seek evaluation from a Primary Care Provider and provide documentation of visit upon return to school.
2. Provide documentation of a negative test upon return to school (home tests kits are not allowed per the guidance, and will not be accepted).
3. Keep your student home for 10 days following symptom onset (for instance if someone shows symptoms today 1/3/22 they can return on 1/14/22, which is 11 days from today).
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,
Nurse Martin

HMS students, Jolie Mott and Sophia Frey, worked with our Art teacher, Mrs. Sellers, to create a wonderful mural on display for the new Highland Public Safety building. They did an amazing job!
