From the Band Parents President: Well, Mother Nature has done it to us again… Tonight’s Highland Band Parents Association meeting is going to have to be cancelled. Due to the fact that we have another meeting scheduled for March 17, we will put off 8th grade night until then! I will post more info as the date gets closer. Stay safe everyone!

Highland CUSD No. 5 Parents and Staff, Highland CUSD No. 5 will not be in session tomorrow, Thursday, February 24 due to potential sleet and freezing rain tomorrow morning. The timing of this precipitation requires a decision to be made on the forecast either tonight or early morning. Either way, a decision has to be made on the forecast. To give families and staff the maximum time to plan, I always prefer to make decisions the night before. I fully expect to be back in session on Friday. Enjoy your 5th emergency day, we have one more if needed:)

This week's Positive Pup Award goes to our amazing custodial crew. This group works tirelessly to keep the inside and outside of our building clean, safe, and very well maintain. Yesterday and again today, they are battling the elements to help keep everyone else safe. Thank you for your hard work!
