Fan guidelines for athletics

Sixth grade students tested the properties of rocks and minerals in science class.
Highland 7th grade Lady Bulldogs battled against their rivals tonight, the Triad Crusaders in a very close game. Unfortunately, they came up short with a final score of 12-14.




Good luck to the Lady Bulldogs basketball teams as they play rival Triad in a non-conference contest at home today at 4pm. Go Dawgs!
PE Bowling starts tomorrow for all of Mr. Roberston's classes and Mrs. Rehkemper's 8th hour class. When your class bowls you do not dress out for PE and students will meet their teacher in the gym lobby.
The Lady Bulldogs basketball teams played in the Wesclin Shootout on Saturday against Carterville Jr. High. The 7th grade came away with a 21-20 win while the 8th grade lost a tough one 37-33. Great effort ladies!

Attention for those fans attending HMS Lady Bulldogs Shootout at Wesclin
Wesclin Middle School Parking Lots will be CLOSED from 9:45-11:30. PLEASE let anyone who may be coming to the shootout know this. If anyone tries to come during this time, they will be waiting on the highway. Wesclin High School is hosting the Cross Country Sectional that day and will have roughly 300 runners running at that time. With this closure, the games that were scheduled to start at 11:30 and after have been pushed back 30 minutes each. Please see the

HMS students and staff had a great time dressing up!



The 7th grade Lady Bulldogs lost a tough one to Aviston 15-13. Scoring for the ladies was Violet Harris who led the way with 5 points, Retta Frey with 4 points and Taylor Logsdon with 4 points. Great effort ladies!
Tonight the Lady Bulldogs basketball program presented a check in the amount of $5,000 to the Greg Holthaus Memorial Fund. The Holthaus family was present to receive the check and talk about their late son Greg. Emma Madson gave a speech on behalf of the team and talked about how the fund has helped her. Truly a great night to honor the late Greg Holthaus, for the HMS girls basketball program and Highland. community. Go Dawgs!
