January 10, 2020 HMS Parents, This week begins 2nd semester. I hope that everyone has had a great year so far. You may view your child’s 1st semester grades today by accessing their grades through PowerSchool. Just a reminder that we will no longer send individual midterms and quarterly report cards home through email as PowerSchool allows parents and students to gain immediate access to grades. Throughout the year, reminder messages will be emailed home alerting parents when midterm, quarter, and semester grades will be available to view. Please go to the following link to obtain your child’s 2nd Quarter and 1st semester grades: https://ps.highlandcusd5.org/public/ If you are having trouble accessing PowerSchool, please call the HMS office at 651-8800 with questions or concerns. Thanks so much, Liz Weder Principal Highland Middle School (618) 651-8800 ext 3202

Hello Everyone, Highland Middle School registration is open for our Seventh Annual Trivia Night on Friday, March 13th!! It is truly a night full of fun!! We will obviously have lots and lots of trivia with prizes to win for first and last place. But, there is even more -- there will be a 50/50 drawing, approximately twenty-five basket raffles and items up for bid in silent auctions. We will send out a list of silent auctions available very soon. We will post a site later and send out to everyone, so you can bid online for any of the silent auctions. Ski will be provided for the evening, free of charge and while supplies last, with water, candy, and Chick-Fil-A chicken and fish sandwiches available to purchase. However, please feel free to bring in your own snacks to indulge in, while you test your trivia skills. Remember -- no alcohol is permitted. In order to reserve a table, please go to the following website and complete the registration form: www.hmstrivianight.weebly.com. In order to reserve a table, you will need eight players at a cost of $10 per player or $80 total. Players can be any combination of ages, as long as they are in sixth grade or above. Mulligans will be available for purchase at the door for $10 per table. We will also have special games at intermissions, like heads and tails, so bring your dollars. It is with great hope that we will have a packed house to enjoy in a wonderful evening of fun!! Register today!! If you have any questions, please contact Dawn Hubbard at dhubbard@highlandcusd5.org. https://5il.co/c7ik
