Interested in trying out for either the HHS Basketball or Football Cheerleading teams for the ’20-’21 season? There will be a parent and student meeting on Tuesday, March 17 at 7pm, at the HMS Plaza. This is open to 8th graders and existing High schoolers from any school that will be attending Highland High School at the start of 2020-2021 school year. This meeting will include all paperwork needed to tryout out, all information on tryouts and all details on what our program involves. Sign ups to tryout will open at the start of the meeting. You will need to have the signed paperwork and a current physical on hand before the start of the actual tryouts. HMS Families - The VFW has asked us to reach out to our families to see if there are any students willing to help bus ​tables at their fish fry events on Friday evenings. They run today through April 19. You would start at 5:00pm and end at 7:00 pm. They will be fed a meal for working. HHS Football will be offering a 7 on 7 flag football clinic for grades 6, 7 and 8. Instructors will be HHS coaches and players. Practices start on April 13 and end on May 18 and will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday evenings from 6 to 7 pm. HHS will be hosting a hitting camp for students in grade 8 on March 15, and 19th, 2020. Sunday, March 15 times are 7:00 - 8:30 pm and Thursday, March 19 times are 7:30 - 9:00 pm. Cost of the camp is $40. There will be a number of competitive activities that will be new to the campers and will reinforce the basics. Flyers are available at the HMS Information Desk.

Congratulations to our HMS Model UN team who won 20 individual awards out of 55 available and had two of the five delegation awards. 168 kids were present representing 9 schools! They had an amazing Conference this year! Thanks to Mrs. Abbott and Mrs. Athmer and all our HHS helpers for guiding the kids through this process! We are so proud of all of you!
