Yesterday Katie Fenton was honored by the IESA as the Division O winner for the Scholar Attitude Award. She was one of 15 students statewide to win this award and was honored at a banquet at the Double Tree Hotel in Bloomington. Way to go Katie!

We had a great day visiting our 5th grade students at Grantfork and Highland Elementary today. Our student ambassadors took time answering questions and discussing life at HMS! They did an amazing job!


Attention all parents/guardians of current 5th Grade students. We will host an Incoming 6th Grade Parent Orientation Night on Thursday, May 1st, at 6:00 pm in the HMS Plaza. During this event, we'll provide a brief presentation highlighting our academic programs and opportunities for your child to get involved at HMS. We recommend parking in the large South Lot and entering through the Gym Lobby doors.

Due to the incoming weather we are canceling the Track meet for today!
In addition we are canceling practice for today as well!

The HMS jv soccer team got a 4-2 come from behind win today against O'Fallon Carriel. Leading the way was Mason Kuykendall with two goals, Easton Roberston with a goal and assist, Beckett Spalding with a goal and Chase Spilker with an assist. Sophie Richter got the win in goal. Way to go!
HMS varsity soccer earns a hard fought 2-2 tie. Lilyan Schaefer and Andrew Canterberry scored for the Bulldogs while Carter Pryor and Mason Kuykendall had assists. Matt Hoefpner and Eli Ritz had a solid game in goal. Way to go!
It is not to late for 7th graders to sign up for the Washington DC trip.

A great time was had by all at the Greenville University Adaptive Sports Olympics on Friday!

Mrs. Cummings and Mr. Frey are exploring castles in their 6th-grade Social Studies classes. Students have been working in groups to investigate, design, and create castles. Tomorrow, they'll test the integrity of their castles with catapults!
