
The Bulldog boys cross country team finished in 6th place with two runners who qualified for the IESA State Finals. Easton Koenemann finished in 5th place with a time of 11:50.64 and Alex Reckmann finished in10th place with a time of 12:08.44. Great day to be a Bulldog!

The Lady Bulldogs cross country team made history today by winning their first Sectional Championship for HMS. The ladies win the Class 3A Springfield Sectional. HMS also has the Individual Sectional Champion in Katie Fenton who ran a 13:00.10 to win the meet. The ladies had a tremendous day with Retta Frey finishing in 2nd place with a time of 13:16.17, Morgan Greenwald in 3rd place with a time of 13:30.45, Paige Korte in 4th place with a time of 13:34.54 and Norah Zobrist in 9th place with a time of 13:48.38. The ladies will compete for a state title next weekend in Normal at Maxwell Park. Great day to be a Bulldog!

Good luck to the HMS cross country teams as they compete in the IESA Sectional Cross Country Meet with a chance to qualify for the IESA State Championships in Normal. The meet is being held at Lincoln Park in Springfield at 4pm. Go Dawgs!

Congratulations to the 8th grade Lady Bulldogs who get a huge win over Edwardsville Liberty tonight 46-24. Hayley Cooper led the ladies with 14 points. Way to go!

If your student participated in our cookie dough fundraiser, our order will be delivered today. The orders will be coming home with your student today, Thursday, October 10. If we determine that the order is manageable for your student to take home, we will send it with them. If the order is too large, we will need a parent to come pick it up after school that day. It MUST be picked up by 4:00 pm that day. We do not have freezer space to store items left behind. Thank you all for your support during this fundraiser!

It's twin day at HMS, and Team 7 Black brought their A game!











7 Black Science students completed a competition lab on the needs of living things. The popsicle sticks represent water, food, sunlight, space and a mate.




Congratulations to our 7 Black Magnificent 7 for this week!


The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Alton today and came away with some big wins in close games. The 7th grade won 29-27 behind 11 points from Grace Blake, 8 points from Keegan Schaible and 4 points each from Brooklyn Cave and Bella Zappia. The 8th grade won 27-23 behind 19 points from Chloe Lindsey and 4 points each from Carley Lindsey and Emmy Dickey. Way to go!

Mrs Rehkemper’s Health classes learned to administer CPR, AED use, Heimlich maneuver, and basic first aid. Thank you to the EMTs for coming in to teach our students these lifesaving skills!
