Today, HMS student ambassadors visited the 5th-grade classrooms at Grantfork Elementary and Highland Elementary to talk about life at the middle school. We had a lot of good questions and enjoyed the opportunity to share with the 5th graders. This Thursday, we will host their parents at a Parent Night for all incoming 6th-grade students from 6 to 7 pm.

The track meet for today has been canceled due to pending weather.
There will be no practice today.

We had some help putting up our new flag today.

Students on Team 8 Black learned about food insecurities and Entomophagy (eating insects...crickets) in science yesterday!

Happy Birthday to our students with April birthdays on Team 8 Black!!

At the door, the cost is $7.00 with a canned food item or $8.00 without a canned food item. Attire for the evening can be anything from casual to dressy but must be school-appropriate. Also, costumes and large bags/backpacks are not allowed. Students will enjoy the music being played by DJ Silverbac, along with some refreshments . . . cookies and drinks. There will also be a very small concession stand available with drinks and candy, along with glow items for sale. We will have a photo booth available as well. Photos will be $1.00 per sheet or $5.00 for unlimited sheets. We are looking forward to a wonderful evening with the students of HMS.
On the night of the dance, students may be dropped off by the HMS gym lobby any time between 5:45 - 6:30 p.m. The doors will close at 6:30 p.m. and there will be no admittance after this time. Students are not allowed to leave during the duration of the dance unless a parent/guardian has provided a written note to the office before the start of the dance. At the end of the evening, students will need to be picked up promptly at 8:00 p.m. by an adult and students are not allowed to walk to another location from the dance.
