
The Bulldogs boys basketball team hosted Mascoutah in a big conference contest. In the 7th grade game the Braves jumped out to a 9-3 lead after a quarter and led 15-11 at the half. In the third quarter the Bulldogs made a run and tied it up at 21 to end the quarter. In the fourth quarter the teams traded leads and the Braves came away with a 30-28 win after the Bulldogs shot to tie it up fell off the rim. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Vance Webber with 12, Grayson Stone with 8, Boston Gelly with 6 and Trevor Warnecke with 2 points. The 7th grade Bulldogs record stands at 2-1 and 1-1 in the conference.

HMS Musical Audition reminder: Auditions are being held in the choir/music room tonight until 8:00 pm. The plaza doors are open so that students can go straight through. Good luck!

Good luck to the basketball teams as they play Mascoutah today. The Lady Bulldogs travel to Mascoutah for a 4pm game while the boys host at 4pm. Go Dawgs!

The Bulldog boys basketball teams traveled to Waterloo tonight and came away with two big wins. The 7th grade came away with a 42-27 win while the 8th grade won 52-29. Go Dawgs!

The ladies hosted Edwardsville Lincoln tonight. In the 7th grade matchup the Wildcats jumped out quick on the Lady Bulldogs and held a 17-5 lead at halftime behind some good shooting. In the second half it was more of the same as the ladies fought hard but fell to the Wildcats 35-11. In the 8th grade contest the Lady Bulldogs led 7-5 after a hard fought first quarter with the Lady Wildcats. Turnovers kept the game close in the second quarter and the Lady Bulldogs held a 12-7 halftime lead. The ladies came out fast in the third quarter and opened up a 27-7 lead. The ladies would cruise to a 34-14 victory. Leading the way for the ladies was Kendyll Decker and Linden Klucker with 9 points a piece and Ari Nanney with 8 points to help the cause.

Students on Team 8 Black learned about sublimation yesterday in science class with a Dry Ice Lab.



Students at HMS worked in groups to discuss the risks and rewards associated with several dares in the real world. This discussion lead up to introducing our weekly Character Dare. Students will be introducing themselves to 5 new people this week! #CommunityBuilding! #8Black





REMINDER: If your student participated in our cookie dough fundraiser, we have a delivery date! The orders will be coming home on this Wednesday, November 1. If we determine that the order is manageable for your student to take home, we will send it with them. If the order is too large, we will need a parent to come pick it up after school that day. It MUST be picked up by 4:00 pm that day. We do not have freezer space to store items left behind. Thank you all for your support during this fundraiser!
