In the championship game at Triad today the 8th grade baseball team fell 10-2 to a tough Triad team. The boys end the season with a 10-8 record and a 3-2 record in the conference. Josias Hampsch was presented a Sportsmanship pin by the IESA for being an outstanding teammate, having a positive attitude and being a leader on the field for the Bulldogs. Congratulations boys and to Coach Reckmann on a solid season.

The girls cross country team had a solid day with Katie Fenton running a 12:31.40 minute race to finish in 9th place in a tough Edwardsville Invite held at SIUE Saturday morning. Morgan Greewald finished a strong 24th place with a time of 13:24.60 minutes and Josie Kircher came in 35th with a time of 13:41.40 minutes. The girls team finished in 8th place for the meet. For the boys team Caleb Knobloch ran an impressive 10:48.80 minute race to finish third in a packed field of runners at SIUE on Saturday. Joshua Knobloch finished a strong race in 30th place running a 11:57.30 minutes. The boys team finished in 12th place for the day.

The 8th grade Bulldog baseball team wins in dramatic fashion with a walk off single by Phoenix Parker in the bottom of the 7th to beat Alton 2-1. Next up is the Regional Championship at 4pm Monday at Traid HS. Go Dawgs!

Today 8 red students did a color challenge lab where they practiced measuring liquid volume accurately.


Mrs. Nave's Science classes formulated and tested their own hypothesis today. What type of liquid would dissolve the tablets the quickest? Cold water, hot water or vinegar.







8th graders practiced translations and reflections on the coordinate plane with a fun golf activity. They even got to take a chance at putting for a hole in one.





Today, 8th Graders had a full day of working with Translations on a Putt-Putt golf activity in their math classes as well as the infamous Pop Quiz Game in American History.

HMS Parents: This morning we are participating in one of our yearly fire drills. Please do not be alarmed as you may see additional police and fire presence at our building for a short time.
