Highland CUSD No. 5 Parents and Staff,
I have been waiting for the forecasts to change throughout the day, but it appears a very consistent message is that rain will change to ice and/or heavy accumulations of snow early tomorrow morning. Rather than wait for the change to occur, we are canceling school tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2nd. If projections hold true, likelihood of becoming clear on Thursday is low. I plan to release additional updates tomorrow including whether school will be in session on Thursday and/or Friday. I hope the snow provides some good sledding opportunities, stay safe and enjoy the day off!

Tonight, we welcomed the Class of 2026!
Students in Mrs. Stille’s Foods class bake a variety of sugar cookies and other goodies this morning. Groups collaborate with peers to accomplish their goal. The final results were top notch!
Highland falls to Marquette 34-31 tonight at Okawville. They will be back in action tomorrow night at 6:00 PM in the 3rd place game.

The Highland Lady Bulldogs get a good win tonight vs the Taylorville Lady Tornadoes 51-36. They will be back in action tomorrow night at 6:30 vs Nashville

Lady Bulldogs Basketball falls to Alton tonight 59-36 in the first round of the Highland Girls Tournament. The tourney picks up again on Monday.
Highland falls to Mascoutah tonight in MVC action 67-45.
