Mrs. Kronk's 1st graders visited all the classrooms today collecting data for a graphing extension activity! It's always nice to have visitors in the classroom!


K-3rd grade students have the opportunity to earn a free Six Flags ticket! To earn a ticket, each child needs to read for a total of 360 min (6 hrs). Parents can log these reading minutes online. Look for the flyer coming home today for more information!

On Monday, March 2nd, we plan to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday by wearing pajamas to school! Please have your children wear regular shoes on this day for safety (no slippers).

The Pieces of Highland event will be March 21st at the Olde Wick's Factory. This year's proceeds will benefit Physical Education! Tickets are $50/person and cover ALL food and drinks all night long. Tickets can be purchased at www.eventbrite.com then search Pieces of Highland!

To commemorate Abraham Lincoln's birthday last week, Mrs. Kronk's class recited the Gettysburg Address for us! They did an amazing job!

Kindness Week may be over, but we plan on carrying on our culture of kindness! It's cool to be kind!

LATCHKEY CANCELED TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY!
Due to our latchkey supervisor being ill and we being unable to find a replacement for her, we wanted to notify you that morning and afternoon latchkey will be CANCELED on Tuesday, February 18th and Wednesday, February 19th. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Third grade students will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) testing March 23 – 27. Please avoid taking trips or making appointments during this week. These tests are taken as a class and are difficult to make up.
Our PE teacher, Mrs. Schoen, sent home a packet for the American Heart Association fundraiser. If you are participating, please have the donation envelope returned no later than February 20th. Checks are payable to the “American Heart Association.”

We loved learning from Ms. Kay today to celebrate President’s Day! She told us all about the life of Mary Todd Lincoln! Our boys and girls loved learning about the Lincoln family! ❤️🇺🇸

Reminder: We will have no school Monday, Feb. 17th for Presidents Day.

Kindness Week has been so good on our souls! We hope to carry this culture of kindness through the end of the school year!
