Students in Mr. Lamp’s Industrial Ed class practice crimping, cutting, and stripping wires. They then practice properly wiring switches. Students are learning a great skill that will save money down the road on home projects and may also lead to a career pathway.

Highland Varsity Girls Basketball team defeats Mascoutah tonight by the score of 62-26. They will be back in action tomorrow night vs Jersey for Senior Night.

Highland Varsity Girls lead 39-16 at the half versus Mascoutah.

Highland girls bowling places third in the first round of the Southern IL Shoot Out. They advance to the final round on Friday. High four game series goes to Mackenzie Davis with a 711. Well done! ❤️🎳🖤

Retired HHS Math Teacher, Mrs. Margie Duncan is helping out as a math sub today. It’s great to see her and we appreciate all the work of our substitute teachers who serve Highland CUSD 5 on a daily basis.



Congratulations to our varsity boys basketball team who defeated Civic Memoral tonight. The boys are back in action as they travel to Mascoutah on Monday.

HHS students and some staff were able to participate in the Blood Drive today to help save lives. We utilized mobile units outside and students wore masks and socially social distanced. Thanks to Mr. Vance for helping to organize and the staff from Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. It was a great way to give back to our community.

❏ Friday afternoon is a Teacher In-Service from 1:30 pm-3:00 pm.
❏ REMOTE LEARNERS have an asynchronous learning day from 1:30-2:35 pm and can work on their own to complete assignments as needed.
