Lady Bulldog Softball beat Civic Memorial 4-2 on Monday in an MVC contest in Bethalto.
Hailey Ritz belted a solo home run to center in the 2nd and Anna Fey singled, each scoring one run.
Kaitlyn Wilson earned the win going 7 innings surrendereing seven hits and 2 runs (zero earned), with 8 Ks and 1 BB.
Ritz, Fey, Wilson, and Jordan Bircher each collected hits with Ritz and Lucy Becker (SAC Fly) each drving in runs. Abby Schultz and Wilson led the team with two walks each.
Highland is now 10-6 and hosts Mascoutah on Wednesday at 4:30 for JV and Varsity games.

@OttensmeierJake drove in four runs on 2 hits, including a grand slam to lead Highland to a 15-1 win over Alton today. @DeklanRiggs struck out 7 and held Alton to one hit over 6 innings for the win. Knebel, Riggs, Stone, and Munie all had 2 RBIs in the victory.

BEA Job Fair is underway- Thanks to all the businesses for coming out to talk to students today.





Seniors- Reminder that we will have exit interviews on Thursday April 25th. You will report plans for after high school, scholarship dollars earned and request your final transcript. Appointment times posted in google classroom.


Kaitlyn Wilson struck out 13 as the right-hander led Highland past Mater Dei 7-1. Wilson surrendered only three hits and one run over seven innings in another dominant performance.
Down 1-0, Highland scored five runs in the fourth as Holly Sexton doubled 2 RBI, Elaina Tompkins singled RBI, and Alex Schultz singled RBI.
Highland totals-Alex Schultz 3 hits, Lucy Becker 2 hits, Abby Shultz 2B, Anna Fey 1B, Jordan Bircher 2B and 2 RBIs. Gracie Nikonovich BB and run scored on Hailey Ritz SAC fly.
Highland is 9-6 and travels to Civic Memorial Monday at 4:30 PM.

The Collinsville Triad Maryville and Highland CEO program is hosting their annual trade show on April 28th. The event will take place from 12:00-3:00 pm at Old Herald Brewery in Collinsville, IL. At the event, students' will be displaying and selling their products. For more information, follow the CEO Instagram and Facebook @collinsvilletriadmaryvilleceo.
Highland has six students participating: Reece Bellm, Megan Helm, Blase Kurwicki, Kylie Lawhorn, Jacob Lewis, and Jack Meyer.
