Mrs. Dawn Jones and her Culinary Occupations students created and sold cookies with staff members' faces on them during lunch hours. The cookies were delicious, and students enjoyed buying cookies with some of their favorite teachers' faces on them.

Meet Bethany Mantz, member of the HHS Special Education department.


Congrats to the Lady Bulldog Varsity Softball team who beat O’Fallon 14-4.
Hailey Ritz went 1-for-3, with a home run to dead center and 3 RBIs. Highland smashed 16 hits with Lucy Becker, Alex Schultz, and Kaitlyn Wilson each collecting three. Abby Schultz and Jordan Bircher grabbed 2 hits each and Ritz and Gracie Nikonovich walked twice. Wilson earned the win with a complete game on the mound. Highland is 2-0 on the season and travels to Freeburg on Monday.

Congrats to Head Coach Chris Nikonovich and the Lady Bulldogs with a 4-3 come from behind win over Carlinville. Nikonovich earned his first career varsity win on the evening.

HHS bowling athletes and their coach, Laura Wander-Vrell, were honored at the Southern Illinois Bowling Conference banquet last night. Garrett Pryor received the "High Game" award, Amara Vrell received the "High Series" award, and Leanora Nicklin received three awards: "High Average," "High Series," and "High Game." Congratulations on your fantastic seasons, and congratulations to Laura Wander-Vrell on her Hall of Fame induction!





Congrats to our very talented choir and band students, as well as their directors, Mr. Case, Mr. Polett, Mrs. Wesselmann, and Mr. Wilton, on a fantastic Pops Concert. And good luck to our show choir and winter percussion members at their competitions this weekend!


Our HHS art students had an outstanding showing at the Schmidt Art Center High School Exhibition at SWIC. Senior Audrey Loyet received the "Otten Award" and senior Abbigail Peters received the "Excellence in 3-D" award. Congratulations to the students and to their instructor, Laura Wander-Vrell!
