Mrs. Ann Kleinmann, our 8th grade math teacher, has been teaching for 15 years. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family and friends. She loves pizza but when looking for something sweet she loves sea salt dark chocolate caramels. Mrs. Kleinmann shares her birthday with her sister, but they are not twins. According to Mrs. Kleinmann, she like helping students gain confidence in their problem solving ability. Thanks Mrs. Kleinmann for working so hard to help our kids.

Mrs. Linda Berg, one of our 6th grade special education teachers, has been teaching for 31 years. In her spare time, she enjoys outside activities, especially gardening and water activities. One thing that makes Mrs. Berg unique is that she is an excellent kayaker. What she enjoys most about teaching is working with her students and seeing the growth they make in a year. Thanks for all that you do to keep are kids on the right track.

Mrs. Kristin Reynolds, 7 Black Math, has been teaching for 7 years. In her spare time, she enjoys playing board games, putting together puzzles, and watching TV. Some of her favorites include Ski, Peanut or Almond M&Ms, Mexican, and Italian food. Something that you may not know about Mrs. Reynolds is that she has played in an orchestra for 7 years. What she loves most about teaching is watching her students learn and grow over the course of the year. It is very rewarding to see each and every student grow academically, emotionally, and socially. Keep up the great work Mrs. Reynolds.

Happy Halloween from Highland Middle School!!!

Thank you!

Mr. Derek Reckmann, our HMS DSR instructor, has been working with kids and coaching for the past 5 years at HMS. He enjoys playing golf, playing cards, and watching sports in his spare time. When he needs to get away from sports he enjoys working with his hands building or remodeling something. Mr. Reckmann loves Italian food and will never turn down a bag of skittles. A special talent that Mr. Reckmann has is memory recall. On a good day, he can retell a random story from years ago basically to a T. What he enjoys most about working with HMS students is watching his kids work together to achieve a common goal and seeing their excitement when they accomplish something small or something great.

Even though the week was short, we had several students who made the choice to do the right thing, have a positive attitude, and show respect for all. Congratulations to this week's Positive Pup Award winners!!!! Keep doing a great job at HMS!!!

Thanks to everyone who participated to unite against bullying by wearing orange today. It was also hat day! Great job HMS!

Congratulations to the top students on 6 Black in the AR reading program for first quarter!
