Team 6 Black took home the trophy for our annual sixth grade Greek Olympics! Thanks to Mr. Frey and Mrs. Cummings for organizing this fun event.

All students planning to attend HCUSD #5 next year must register by May 23, 2025.

All 8th grade math students began their Final Exam today. Time to showcase all the hard work they’ve put in this year!

Congratulations to our HMS track teams that had an outstanding day at the Sectional Track Meet in Edwardsville. Qualifying for Peoria next weekend was the 4x 200 relay team of Carley Lindsey, Audrey Thomas, Cathy Thomas and Chloe Lindsey with a time of 1:51. 97 (school record) to finish in second place, and the 4 x 400 relay team of Cathy Thomas, Carley Lindsey, Amelia Gould and Chloe Lindsey who finished 4th with a time 4:25.12. Individuals qualifying were Morgan Greenwald in the 800 with a time of 2:31.18 to finish in 3rd place, Chloe Lindsey who jumped 4'9.5" in the high jump to finish 3rd and Retta Frey who ran a 5:41.09 (6th grade school record) to finish in 4th place. On the boys side the 4 x 400 relay team of Hunter Krimminger, Carter Fisher, Ryan Hulliung and Alex Reckmann ran a 4:12.74 to finish in 6th place. Individual boys qualifying were Alex Reckmann in the 800 with a time of 2:20.42 (6th grade school record)to finish in 3rd place and Noach VerDuin in the pole vault with a height of 7'8.75" to finish in 3rd place. Great job by all our athletes!

Good luck to the HMS track teams as they compete in the IESA Sectional Meet for a shot at state. The meet is held at Edwardsville HS and starts at 9 am. Go Dawgs!
