The AP Pre-K classroom is hard at work collecting, sorting, and weighing plastic lids and caps in hopes of getting a Buddy Bench for their playground. So far they have collected 25 lbs of plastic lids and caps. Lids/caps can be dropped off to their classroom now through February!
The 2nd Graders at Alhambra Primary planted a Tulip Test Garden. Our students learned about how tulips grow best and found the perfect spot for planting. We will be comparing our results with different schools around the United States!
Alhambra Primary is participating in a Trex Plastic Film Recycling Challenge! The more recycling we collect, the better our chances are at winning a Trex bench! We will recycle items such as grocery bags, bread bags, Ziplocs, and more. Please send in your bendable plastic!

The PTO is raising funds to help purchase chromebooks and carts for our students! Yankee Candle fundraiser packets have been sent home. You can order online or use the order form. Please make checks payable to “Center Schools PTO.” All orders and payments are due November 12th.
Drawing Camp will be Nov. 18-22, from 3:25-4:30. This camp is offered to 1st-3rd grade students. The fee is $35 and will include art supplies that the participants will keep! Checks are payable to "Alhambra Primary." There is a limit of 15 students for this camp.
Pre-K students plan to collect, count, and donate used bottle caps of numerous varieties to be recycled into a “buddy bench” for their Pre-K playground! Please consider sending your used bottle caps in to school. Email leilers@highlandcusd5.org with any questions.

Due to weather, our Halloween parade at Alhambra Primary has been canceled today.
Classroom parties will begin at 10:00. Parent volunteers are asked to arrive to school 5-10 minutes before the classroom parties begin.
Students are asked NOT to wear their costumes to school, but we do encourage them to wear a Halloween shirt or the colors orange and black for Red Ribbon Week.
Due to the cold and wet forecast for tomorrow morning, we have decided to cancel the parade to the nursing homes for tomorrow. Since we don't have the parade, students will not wear costumes to school.
We will still have the Halloween classroom parties starting at 10:00.
