We are currently under a tornado warning in Alhambra. Students are safely sheltering in the hallways. Busses will most likely be delayed until the warning has lifted.

Over 100 years ago, the Titanic sank. Since then, it has been an interesting topic to study for all, including 1st and 3rd graders! These classes partnered up to study a non-fiction article. We used reading questioning strategies to deepen our knowledge about the Titanic!
Our ABC Character Countdown is in full swing here at AP! Today was Bring a Flower to Mrs. Hooks Day! Let’s finish the year with good character. 🌺
Garden Camp was a success! The kids loved planting tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, cauliflower, and peppers! 🍅 🥒 🌶 🥔

The 1st Grade Students in Mrs. Kronk’s class have turned their hallway into a model of our solar system! They’ve been having a blast learning and researching about the planets. 🌎
Penny Wars start on Monday at AP! Bring in your spare change to raise money for Leaps of Love! The winning class each day will get a candy treat and the winning class at the end of the week will get ice cream sandwiches!
Teach-n-Tell time is my favorite time of the year! Third grade students choose a topic to teach to the class. I learn so much from my students during this project! I also learn how talented these kids are! We’ve learned how to do everything from candle-making to Macarena dancing, and so much more.
